MISTY COMEAUX MS CCC-SLP

I am the owner of Bee Bright Pediatric Therapy and I have dreamed of having my own private practice for over 15 years! I’m a state licensed and ASHA-certified speech/language pathologist. I graduated with my masters degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and have worked in both the school and clinical settings for 13 years.

I am passionate about treating children with speech and language delays. I have experience working with late talkers, receptive/expressive language delays, articulation/phonological delays, and AAC. I also have extensive experience working Autistic children. I am a Natural Language Acquisition trained clinician.

In my practice, I take a child-led, strengths-based approach to treatment and strive to practice neurodiverse affirming care in each session. I strongly believe that every child has a voice and deserves to be heard however they choose to communicate. I believe that the first step to successful therapy is to first build trust and connection. I am dedicated to staying up to date with the latest research and techniques in the field of speech therapy and regularly attend workshops and conferences to expand my knowledge and skills.

When I am not treating clients, I enjoy spending time with my partner, children, and dogs. I also enjoy reading, spending time in nature, listening to music, and traveling.
